The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) is a professional organization and community for higher education leaders and innovators that focuses specifically on digital teaching and online learning. The Instructional Designer Certificate Program is offered by the OLC to help aspiring instructional designers (among others) build proficiency in developing online courses, planning faculty development experiences, creating resources for faculty, and evaluating online courses using the Open SUNY Course Quality Review (OSCQR) rubric. The program consists of four courses that are each four weeks long and are taught in an asynchronous online format.
