This course focused on developing the skills necessary to guide faculty through the online course development process. In the course, we looked at challenges that instructional designers face along with potential solutions, analyzed the course development process at our institution including any challenges in the process, and analyzed the faculty development program at our institution using Kirkpatrick’s 4 Levels of Evaluation. Since I did not work in a higher education institution while I was taking this course, I decided to perform my analysis on The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), which is where I earned my B.A. The projects that I worked on in this course can be seen below:
- TCNJ Course Development Process Flowchart (Note: This depicts TCNJ’s existing course development process. I created the flowchart myself but played no role in actually developing TCNJ’s course development process.)

- TCNJ Faculty Development Program Plan (Note: This is a modified version of TCNJ’s existing faculty development program and not an original program that I designed from scratch.)
